It's very hot and sunny the pyramids are surrounded by sand, there is almost no rain or water because of how hot it is. They have few animals mostly snakes and camels.

The ancient Pyramids of Giza , just outside of Cairo, Egypt, served as royal tombs during the fourth dynasty of Egypt's old kingdom. About 2550 B.C., Kinf Khufu began construction of his own tomb- the Great Pyramid- which took more than 2 million stone blocks and 30 years to complete. Currently 449 ft. ( 146 m) tall, it was the tallest building in the world for 4,000 years.
